AMSA2006 Conference Dinner

Wednesday, 12th July 2006 from 6:30 pm

The Conference Dinner is included in registrations for AMSA registrants, however, AMSA2006 welcomes registrants from the Society of Wetland Scientists to join our Conference Dinner. Tickets are available with your registration. Numbers are limited so it is best to get in early! However, if you forget or decide later to attend, please see the Registration Desk at the conference on arrival in case there are still tickets available.
 
AMSA2006 Conference Dinner commences at 6:30pm with pre-dinner drinks and canapes on Breezes Terrace until 7:30pm. Breezes Terrace has breathtaking views over the Trinity Inlet and the Rainforest, and it is also surrounded by Award Winning Tropical Gardens.

At the conclusion of pre-dinner drinks, guests will follow the path down stairs directly below them to the Mondo Gardens where dinner will be served.

Mondo Gardens is located on the Cairns waterfront and overlooks Trinity Bay. We chose a casual outdoor setting and have planned an interesting menu, including drinks package, to assure you of a memorable evening.

The Conference Dinner is the best time to communicate socially with other conference attendees and co-researchers in a relaxed atmosphere. It will be a great way to wind down after a day of touring. We will have a short formal part to the dinner for our President to award our two 40-year AMSA Honorary Life Members for 2006.

Russell Harris Entertainment will provide a four-piece band with music to which you can listen or dance or listen. I am sure that 2006 will follow previous AMSA dinner traditions in that everyone gets up, joins in, and makes the best of the music!
